Free mindfulness taster sessions and course for older members of the LGBT+ community

Connect, Rebalance, Restore a space for older LGBT+ people to learn mindfulness to support mental and physical wellbeing in a friendly and supportive space.   This program offers a choice of in person or zoom taster sessions and an in person 8 week Breathworks Mindfulness course.

Mindfulness provides tools to help us live well, including those times when we have difficult experiences. The pandemic has added to or created many difficulties including increased isolation, adverse effects on mental and physical health and bereavement. These tasters and the 8 week course offer a space for older LGBT+ people to come together to learn how the tools of mindfulness can help us to live well even with such difficult experience.

Participants can join an in-person or zoom taster or sign up directly for the 8 week course which begins on 18th January 2022.

Over the 8 weeks of the course participants will follow the 8 week Breathworks course, led by 2 experienced Breathworks and BAMBA registered trainers from the LGBT+ community. Participants will receive a handbook and access to guided meditations.  Participation in the course involves practicing meditations at home in-between sessions.
