We are flexible, inclusive and responsive in providing community-based programs to support wellbeing in diverse groups. Drawing on our lived experience and our experience of working in community settings we can work with you to co-produce a program to meet the needs of your community. Our experience includes working with health groups, eg chronic pain, HIV/Aids, as well as older people, BAME communities, women’s groups and young people. We work indoors, outdoors and remotely.
Our current projects
Leeds Mindfulness Cooperative shares the ambitions of the Leeds Health and Care Plan to ensure that Leeds is a healthy and caring city for all ages, where those who are poorest improve their health the fastest.
Here are some of our current projects that support these aims:
Living well, living here
We are delighted to be working in partnership with local organisations Feel Good Factor, Space 2 and LS14 trust to deliver an ongoing programme of accessible 8 week mindfulness courses in communities across the city.
Mindfulness for All
Leeds mindfulness co-operative exists to deliver a creative program of mindfulness courses and events which are affordable and open to all. Our Mindfulness for All Project aims to improve the accessibility of mindfulness courses.
This work includes a series of 9 BSL interpreted guided meditations and audio guided meditations which we produced to support ongoing practice with a Visually Impaired Mindfulness Group.
This work has been made possible with funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund. We would like to thank the Government for making this possible.
