SUMMARY:Learning to lead mindfulness
DESCRIPTION:A two day program to provide a practice-based grounding in skills of leading mindfulness. This training is designed to give you experience and practice to empower you to lead simple meditations and mindfulness activities\, and would be a helpful introduction to anyone going on to formal training as a mindfulness teacher.  \n \n \n \n \n \n The course is aimed at wellbeing practitioners /counsellors/ health care workers/ community workers or those wishing to lead simple mindfulness activities in their workplace.  \nWe recommend participants have experience of practising mindfulness/meditation themselves over a sustained period eg an eight week course and 3 months minimum personal practice\, meditating several times each week.  \n \n \n \n \n \n This is a hands-on training program.  \nDay 1 of the program is designed to focus on the key skills of mindfulness including attention training or focussed awareness.  The day will include guided meditations and tutor-guided enquiry and discussion. There will be the opportunity for participants to work in small groups\, taking turns to be leader\, participant(s) and observer.  \nDay 2 Building on the first day of the training\, we will extend into practice of further key skills including open awareness. There will be the opportunity to explore common experiences and challenges which can arise in mindfulness practices. There will be an introduction to trauma sensitive mindfulness and further opportunity for participants to work in triads/groups to practise these skills. \n \n \n \n \n \n 5th May and 12th May 10.30am – 4pm \nLeeds Buddhist Centre\, Troy Road\, Horsforth \n£200 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By the end of the course participants will be able to:\n\nCommunicate the benefits of mindfulness.\nDescribe their own experience and draw on it to inform their practice.\nLead simple sense-based mindfulness activities.\nLead simple body and breath- based mindfulness meditation practices.\nUnderstand the need for\, and approaches to\, trauma sensitive mindfulness.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Booking essential.  Please email info@mindfulnesscoop.co.uk to find out more or book.\n \n email us to find out more or book
